Company Need:

Total Quality Logistics (TQL) is the second largest freight brokerage firm in North America and the largest private employer in Cincinnati. TQL offers full truckload, less-than-truckload and intermodal logistics services.

With tech-driven growth in the logistics industry and internally at TQL, the company wants to continue its substantial investment in its technology and business. With that need to grow and deep ties to southwest Ohio, the company decided to construct a second building near its current headquarters in Union Township.

The goal of the expansion is to accommodate an anticipated 600 new employees, primarily in sales and information technology roles, over the next five years.

Why Ohio?

Ohio has a strategic location and quality infrastructure, which is why many logistics and distribution companies choose Ohio. For companies like TQL, this means an abundance of customers. Ohio’s growing technology industry is also beneficial for companies investing in tech advancements, including a large skilled talent pool, an evolving digital infrastructure, and an abundance of innovation communities that frequently collaborate.

TQL’s second building will be on its headquarters campus at Ivy Pointe Boulevard in Union Township. The company is finalizing plans on the design of the building, anticipating construction costs of $20 million, plus an additional investment to renovate its current site. When construction is complete, the innovative and growing company’s main campus will hold more than 2,000 employees.
