JobsOhio Enters into Agreement with Breeze Airways
JobsOhio is pleased to announce it has entered into an agreement with Breeze Airways in two Ohio markets, Akron-Canton Airport (CAK) and John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH), with service scheduled to begin in June 2021.
JobsOhio enters into this agreement with Breeze Airways to increase air service and competition. This will improve the ability to attract and retain businesses—key components of the economic development mission of JobsOhio.
Today, the competition for air service is fierce as airlines have downsized fleets and routes. The JobsOhio Air Service Restoration program allows Ohio to attract new air service and restore air service lost during the COVID-19 pandemic ahead of other communities across the U.S. This effort supports the JobsOhio sectors while having a direct impact to the tourism and hospitality industries hard hit by the pandemic.
