Project Summary:

  • Type of Project: New location
    • Types of jobs: Picking and packing, supervisors, pharmaceutical technicians, customer service and leadership positions
  • Capital Investment: $1,500,000

Company Need:

Hims was founded in 2017 and has become one of the fastest growing direct-to-consumer brands in history. It is currently valued at $1 billion.

The company wants to bring order fulfillment in-house for both pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical products. Hims needs access to customers, a quality workforce and a business climate that enables low-cost, high-quality operations.

Testimonial:

“At Hims, we want to make it easier for everyone to get the care they need. The Columbus Region provides direct access to our customers throughout the US – including those in rural areas who may live an hour or more from an open pharmacy – as well as an impressive pool of talent. We’re excited to invest in the area as we work to expand access to affordable, quality healthcare for everybody.” – Andrew Dudum, CEO and founder, Hims

Why Ohio?

Hims will invest $1.5 million in central Ohio and pledges to create 500 new jobs. Market access was a big draw for the company — Ohio has a strategic central location and one of the nation’s best infrastructures, enabling access to 60% of the U.S. and Canadian population within a one-day drive.

This is critical for Hims, which is seeking a 300,000 – 400,000-square-foot distribution center to house its mail-order pharmacy, fulfillment and customer support centers. The company plans to put its investment toward machinery and equipment. This location will set up Hims to grow in the region.
