Cincinnati-Based Losant One of 10 Companies Accepted into Techstars’ Internet of Things Accelerator
Losant, a startup company pioneering in the Internet of Things (IoT) market, continues receiving good news. First, the Cincinnati-based company’s product – a powerful yet easy-to-use platform that allows companies to build connections between devices and learn from the data they provide – has been well received in the market.
The product shows so much promise that CincyTech, a seed-stage investor in digital and life sciences companies in Southwest Ohio, announced it will provide seed money to Losant.
Next, Losant co-founders Charlie Key and Brandon Cannady learned their company was one of 10 selected to participate in the first class of Techstars’ new Internet of Things accelerator. Located in New York City, the three-month accelerator program brings leaders in the IoT market together with the most innovative emerging startups in the industry.
“While we’ve already seen great product traction and support for our company, we believe that joining this amazing program will take us to the next level. Techstars is the gold standard of accelerator programs in the world and we’re honored to join,” Key said in a recent blog post on the company’s website.
In recognition of the Ohio’s entrepreneurial ecosystem helping more companies startup, scale-up and succeed, Techstars chose Cincinnati to host “FounderCon 2016,” an annual event that brings together all of Techstars’ accelerator founders to learn from industry leaders and their peers, share best practices and leverage their connections in the Techstars network.
