CareSource To Build New Office Building in Downtown Dayton
CareSource, a nonprofit managed care company headquartered in downtown Dayton, Ohio, plans to expand its footprint with the construction of a new, seven-story, 250,000-square-foot office building.
To be located near the company’s existing four Dayton offices, the new building will help CareSource create a walkable campus-like environment for employees within the core of downtown Dayton. The new facility, named “CareSource Center City,” centralizes employees downtown and accommodates the company’s unprecedented growth.
“More than 10 years ago we took a bold step in the height of the economic recession and invested in Dayton by building the CareSource headquarters in downtown. We were confident then in the uniqueness of downtown and stepped up to lead the way in identifying underutilized land and reinvigorating it with new purpose. Since that time we have exceeded what I could have imagined for us,” said Pamela Morris, CareSource president and CEO.
“They now manage care for half of the Medicaid lives in Ohio,” said Aaron Pitts, Healthcare senior managing director at JobsOhio. “Having a company like this in downtown is a big part of our health care strategy.”
CareSource plans to break ground in 2017 with completion expected in 2019.
