Company Need:

Maryland-based Bon Secours and Cincinnati-based Mercy Health merged in September 2018. The combined organization, called Bon Secours Mercy Health, comprises 43 hospitals in seven states and more than 2,100 physicians. After the merger, the company evaluated its footprint in Cincinnati to determine the most cost-effective location to establish its headquarters and grow its employment base.

Why Ohio?

After considering several locations for a hub, the company ultimately decided to stay in Cincinnati because of the region’s skilled talent pool, Ohio’s competitive cost of doing business, and the opportunity for expansion at the current Bond Hill location. The 500 new jobs created by this expansion will consist primarily of shared services positions to support the company’s operations and will pay an average annual wage of nearly $100,000. This is the second time in the last four years that the company has partnered with REDI Cincinnati to expand its presence in the region.
