Company Need:

Carvana explored multiple Midwest locations for a site to house a large, centralized distribution and service center in order to add capacity for their fast-growing online automotive retail business. Speed to market, labor costs, business environment and incentives are all key to enabling the company to continue to expand other segments of its business.

Why Ohio?

Carvana selected Central Ohio for the region’s prime location. The company will invest over $23 million to build a new 200,000-square-foot fulfillment center in Heath. The facility will create 400 jobs in Ohio.

The company’s new facility will serve as a centralized distribution and service center, allowing Carvana to add capacity for its fast-growing online automotive retail business. The Heath operation will provide the ability to take vehicles purchased for retailing, repair and overhaul the products, then market and deliver them to the customer’s location.

Ohio’s location is strategically advantageous for companies like Carvana. From Ohio, companies can reach 60 percent of the U.S. population within a one-day drive. And, with a system of highways and roadways that stretch across the state in multiple directions, customers can be reached quickly.
