Company Need:

PowerBuilt Material Handling Solutions LLC, an automotive components and materials manufacturer, is a small, family-owned business that expects major growth.

The company, which employs 25 workers, sought a second location to expand its manufacturing and assembly capacity in order to serve customers and meet increased production demands in a competitive automotive market. PowerBuilt’s existing headquarters has been at 230 Reynolds Avenue in Bellefontaine nearly 20 years.

Why Ohio?

PowerBuilt will expand its footprint in Bellefontaine, Ohio, creating 18 new jobs and investing $2 million. The company’s investment will be used to move into a 52,399-square-foot facility at 2250 South Main St. in Bellefontaine. The building will undergo a series of renovations and add capacity for research and development, robotic equipment testing, assembly, in-house fabrication and expanded product offerings.

Ohio’s automotive industry advantage translates into real-world strategic value for companies. Automotive companies that invest in Ohio benefit from a comprehensive network of automotive assets and resources that they can use to their benefit, including the full automotive supply chain, an established and skilled automotive workforce, and proximity to customers, suppliers and partners.
