ATS Ohio is growing, and a larger, more modern facility is a key element in the company’s plan for the next five years. The new facility will focus on the manufacturing of power storage systems for automotive and industrial uses. It will also enable production of different types and sizes of machinery that current facilities cannot accommodate, thereby curbing growth.

Why Ohio?

ATS will consolidate its two existing locations into a new 250,000-square-foot facility in Lewis Center. The company is retaining all 105 of its current positions and has committed to adding 40 more.

ATS decided to expand in Ohio because of the strong local talent pool and collaborative business environment that the state and region have to offer. The new facility will play a vital role in the company’s global success.

The facility will allow the company to expand its operations in the Columbus region and add capacity to produce machinery for automotive power storage systems. ATS’ investment will be used for the new facility’s construction, as well as IT and training costs.

Ohio has had a strong manufacturing industry for generations. Today, the state’s manufacturing sector is one of the largest is one of the largest in the U.S., generating output of $104.6 billion. Market access, numerous innovation partners and a well-trained workforce of nearly 700,000 are among the advantages that manufacturers have in Ohio.
