ELITE Americas and JobsOhio’s partnership has come to a end. ELITE Americas corporate headquarters had planned to be built in Cleveland but was delayed due to travel restrictions amid COVID-19. What was initially delayed has now been officially cancelled as a consequence of the closure of the ELITE Americas program, and the termination of its partnership with JobsOhio and their plans to open a new headquarters in Ohio.

The closure of the program was part of the strategic geographical refocus after ELITE’s entrance into the Euronext Group.

Originally announced in 2019, this partnership made Ohio the first state in the U.S. to work with the ELITE program and had included plans for an ELITE Americas headquarters in Cleveland. This partnership included training from ELITE designed to help businesses prepare and structure for growth by mentoring to support best practices, promoting relationships with potential investors, and facilitating access to a range of funding options.

While the closure means there will be no continued programs with ELITE, the ones that were already completed were successful and helped support the growth of many companies across the state. ELITE Americas completed four cohorts with 48 small to midmarket companies since the partnership and helped facilitate several expansion plans and new hires.
