Ohio is Attracting World Leading Companies with Affordability and Talent
With the influence of technology, manufacturers are continually evolving their businesses. As companies grow and look for new ways to better serve customers and maintain a competitive advantage, they also may need to expand or locate to a new facility.
Ohio has resources that drive bottom-line success in the midst of these shifts. As businesses grow, Ohio’s pro-business climate becomes more eye-catching to younger members of the workforce who are moving here to take advantage of these opportunities.
A cost-effective business climate, ready sites, highly skilled talent, and a desirable central location near suppliers and customers are among the reasons many companies, including manufacturers, come to Ohio. Stolle Machinery Company LLC, Fluvitex and NDC Technologies, Inc. are among the manufacturers that have recently invested in Ohio.

Serving Comfort to a North American Market Through Ohio
Spain-based Fluvitex, a global leader in bedding textiles, announced plans in July to open its first U.S.-based production facility in Groveport, just south of Columbus, to better reach its North American market. The state-of-the-art facility will be one of most modern and automated manufacturing plants for pillows and comforters in the world. About 100,000 square feet will be utilized for the manufacturing and distribution center.
The company, which manufactures textile products for IKEA, is investing $8 million for machinery and equipment. The region’s highly skilled workforce, cost-effective business climate and strategic access to the U.S. market attracted the company to Ohio.
NDC Technologies Relocates Headquarters from California to Ohio
In order to streamline operations and customer service, NDC Technologies, Inc., a developer of high performance measurement solutions, sought to relocate its Irwindale, California, headquarters in early 2017. To improve company operations and enhance their competitive position, NDC looked for a location that would support their growth.
The company chose to locate its headquarters at its existing Huber Heights manufacturing center near Dayton. This location provides a lower cost of living, access to talent, better proximity to markets and partners, and an overall more competitive business climate.
